This past month, Athens & Cantrall UMC have been learning about different missions that we participate in to meet the needs of our community, nation and world throughout the year. This past Sunday, March 15th, we supported the Midwest Mission Distribution Center. Members from the churches and community came together in fellowship and shared food as we undertook putting together 640 blessing bags. Each blessing bag contains 390 grams of rice, soy, vitamin packet & dehydrated vegetables that feed 6 people. It is amazing to see what a group of 49 people can do in just two hours. We have been able to provide resources to feed 3,840 people. Good time was had by all!
